Our Story

Revolution 216 began almost 10 years ago as a idea – a church for people who didn’t seem to fit the conventional church goers mold, A church of intense love, of intentional community, of radical service, a church of revolutionaries. The visionary, Marques Evans a.k.a “Big Cleve”, saw plenty of churches out there for people who already knew God or at least already went to church. The vision was to create a new church where everybody contributed and were valued as unique Christ followers. A church for people who just didn’t fit, the misfits if you will. The vision has grown, and new revolutionaries have connected together. With a desire to see a dying city like “Cleveland” live again Pastor Marques has decided to trust God and make a difference. While the vision has grown, The Revolution 216 is still young, very young. We held our first Saturday preview service on 5.14.11. Until that time Revolutionaries were out serving the city of Cleveland and meeting in homes.  The Revolution 216 now hold services in the Nehemiah Mission located at 6515 Bridge Ave at 7:00 pm every Thursday and every Sunday at 12:00 pm.
